SOAR! YOUNG ALUM HAPPY HOUR & INTEREST SESSION (Thurs., Oct 12)
SOAR! seeks Young Alum involvement and interest in junior board member position and invites you to learn more at their October 12 Happy Hour! As SOAR! prepares for its D.C. events season, Executive Director of SOAR! Sister Kathleen Lunsmann and her team welcome young adults to this meet and greet happy hour to learn more about how SOAR! gives back to Catholic religious orders across the country and how to get involved and support the cause. SOAR! will also be discussion opportunities to join their board of directors as a junior member.
The happy hour will take place at Local 16's 2nd floor Lounge Room, where happy hour deals will be extended until 9 PM. We look forward to seeing you there! Click this link for more information and to register.
MASS & POTLUCK IN FAIRFAX & DC (Sat., Oct. 14)
Please join the Notre Dame Club of Washington DC at 5:30 PM on Saturday, October 14, for Mass and a potluck following. We will be hosting this at two sites:

The club will provide subs and beverages; please bring a side dish or dessert. We ask for a $25 family donation. In addition, we are asking for charitable donations payable to either the Dominican House of Studies or George Mason Catholic Campus Ministry. These funds are used to help recent college graduates who have entered religious life with their college debt, including a number of Domers at the Dominican House of Studies.
PARKS CLEAN UP (Sat., Oct. 14)
Please join the Notre Dame Club of Washington DC on Saturday, October 14, from 9 AM - 12 PM as we help preserve our Nation's most iconic and respected memorials through planting flowers, mulching, painting, or removing litter and invasive species. The specific date is TBD, but the group will be working at the National Mall and Memorial Parks. If you are interested, please contact MaryKate Robinson at marykate@alumni.nd.edu.
ACCELERATE FESTIVAL, NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AMERICAN HISTORY (Sat., Oct 14)
University of Notre Dame Alumni in the Washington, DC area are invited to an exclusive private reception on Saturday, October 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in celebration of the ACCelerate: ACC Smithsonian Creativity and Innovation Festival. Limited space is available, this is an exceptional opportunity to experience the museum and join ACC colleagues. Webmaster: This position is an important part of the ND Dc Club communications team, and affords the opportunity for an individual to shape what the online presence for the club looks like. This position is responsible for maintenance and updates to the ND-DC webpage, including posting information about upcoming events, ensuring the calendar is up-to-date and creating new pages as needed. The Alumni Association provides online training courses in all necessary areas.
