The location is great- 10 minutes from downtown Fairfax and 10 minutes from the consulting firm I'll be working at in Centreville. The total rent is $1,815 a month (utilities not included) which means with a roommate the cost is split to about $908. The location: The neighborhood is quiet with a quaint feeling and strong sense of community and friendship :) Grocery, shops, restaurants, and public transportation are all just a block away. 2 min walk to grocery, restaurants, bars, drug store, public library, tennis courts, and the community center, which has a large olympic sized pool available free to DC residents. 7 min. walk to Takoma metro station (red line) and Main Street Takoma bars/restaurants.
