ND CO-ED SOFTBALL RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS
Batter up! The 2017 campaign for the ND co-ed softball team is underway, and they are looking for more interested Domers to join in the fun! They play in the Capital Alumni Network (CAN) league (www.dcalum.org), comprised of about 70 local alumni chapter teams from schools around the nation. All regular season games are played in DC, and the competitive spirit continues after the games with a post-game celebration win or lose. Whether you want to show off your skills or you simply just like to have a good time, there's a spot on the roster waiting for you!

ACC HAPPY HOUR @ BLACKFINN AMERIPUB - DC (Wednesday, Apr. 12)
Save the date! ND-DC YA invites you to attend an ACC Happy Hour April 12 from 6:30 to 8 PM at Blackfinn Ameripub - DC! Stop by, have a drink, grab an appetizer and meet alumni from all the area ACC alumni chapters. You can also RSVP to the event on Facebook!
ND TECH NETWORKING: TRENDS IN DATA ANALYTICS (Wednesday, Apr. 19)
Join us on Wednesday, April 19 at 6 PM to discuss the future of analytics. We will have a panel featuring Joe Sifer of BAH, Mike Rhodes of CACI, Dean Peter Kilpatrick from the College of Engineering and one other panelist from ND discuss current trends in, and new uses for, data analytics.
We will have networking, a panel discussion and then more networking. We hope to make these quarterly events, so please come out and meet your fellow alums in the technology sector. This first event will be hosted at the offices of Morgan Franklin, 7900 Tysons One Place, Suite 300, Tysons Corner, VA.

Volunteer at the DC Central Kitchen (Sunday, Apr. 23)
The DC Central Kitchen provides meals for homeless shelters, and non-profit organizations across the National Capital Region, as well as culinary job training for unemployed people in DC. We will be helping DC Central Kitchen with food prep -- usually, a lot of chopping! The activity is from 9 AM - 12 PM on Sunday, April 23 in NW DC (425 Second St NW, near the Judiciary Square Metro). Volunteers aged 12 and up are welcome! Please contact MaryKate Robinson at marykate@alumni.nd.edu if you are interested!
A POET LAUREATE'S JOURNEY WITH JUAN FELIPE HERRERA (Monday, Apr. 24)
ND's Institute for Latino Studies and the University of California Washington Program (UCDC) invites you to a special evening with U.S. Poet Laureate and professor emeritus of UC Riverside, Juan Felipe Herrera followed by a reading of selected poems and Q&A session. Reception and book signing to follow. Registration closes Monday, April 17 is required to attend the event and is exclusive to ND and UC alums!

VA GOLD CUP AT ACC & FRIENDS TENT -- TICKETS ON SALE NOW (Saturday, May 6)
Notre Dame's young alums are invited to get off to the races at the "ACC & Friends" tent at this year's Virginia Gold Cup -- Saturday, May 6, 2017! We are excited to return to University Row at Gold Cup and Notre Dame is an anchor member of the of the ACC Alumni Tent in partnership with Florida State, Clemson and Syracuse along University Row.
University Row is celebrating its 19th season and remains the place to see and be seen. This year's University Row will host 10 tents and alumni from over 70 local chapters, totaling over 1,000 guests, making it one of the largest inter-alumni social events in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Take in the races with fellow Domers and alumni from other schools as you enjoy:
- Admission to Gold Cup, one of the most attended horse races on the East Coast
- Full OPEN BAR for the day
- Appetizers, Main Fare, and Afternoon meals
- Activities between races (including but not limited to corn hole, Beer Pong, Giant Jenga, best tent decorations, and group photos for alumni chapters)
