ND-WASHINGTON IRISH NETWORK GOLF OUTING PLANNING COMMITTEE
ND-Washington Irish Network (ND-WIN) is looking for one to two people to join their golf outing planning committee. This is a huge event, tentatively scheduled for September 29 with planning meetings TBD, but most likely starting up next month. ND-WIN would love more young alums to participate in the event so they want your help to plan! Please email ND-DC-YA@googlegroups.com if you're interested in making this event a hole-in-one!
SSLP COORDINATOR POSITION AVAILABLE ON DC ALUMNI CLUB BOARD
One to two people are needed ASAP to fill the Summer Service Learning Project position on the DC Alumni Club Board. This person would be responsible for coordinating the host family and other logistics for the student(s) coming to the DC-area THIS summer. This is a great opportunity to get more involved with the DC Alumni Club, especially if you did an SSLP while at Notre Dame! Email ND-DC-YA@googlegroups.com if you're interested and want more info!
ND CO-ED SOFTBALL RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS
Batter up! The 2017 campaign for the ND co-ed softball team is underway, and they are looking for more interested Domers to join in the fun! They play in the Capital Alumni Network (CAN) league (www.dcalum.org), comprised of about 70 local alumni chapter teams from schools around the nation. All regular season games are played in DC, and the competitive spirit continues after the games with a post-game celebration win or lose. Whether you want to show off your skills or you simply just like to have a good time, there's a spot on the roster waiting for you!

Join the DC Young Professionals at The Board Room for happy hour and a unique opportunity to learn about lockpicking. We will be joining The Open Organization of Lockpickers (TOOOL) to put your lock picking skills to the test. The mission of TOOOL is to advance the general public knowledge about locks and lockpicking. To find the group, just look for the RED balloon.

Volunteer at Taste of Arlington
When: Sunday, May 21, 3:00-6:00 PM
Where: Ballston, Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA
The Taste of Arlington, Arlington's largest street festival and one of DCYP's favorite annual events, features over 50 local restaurants, music, and beer and wine tents for patrons to enjoy. DCYP will be volunteering at the festival on behalf of the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC), which gets a $50 donation for every volunteer. Duties may include helping with registration, pouring beer and wine, running carnival games for kids, assisting with the restaurant booths, etc. The festival organizers will determine our specific tasks as we get closer to the event. Volunteers will receive an awesome volunteer t-shirt, refreshments and snacks during our shift, and taste tickets to use at the festival.

Volunteer at SCAN's Croquet Day
When: Saturday, June 3, 12:00-3:30 PM
Where: Joseph Hensley Park (4200 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, VA) – (Short drive from Van Dorn Metro Station - please note in your RSVP if you need transportation from the metro to the park.)
Croquet Day is a tournament-style competition for individuals and families that benefits SCAN, an organization that provides advocacy and support for children and families in Northern Virginia. This event helps raise vital funds for SCAN's child abuse and neglect prevention programs.The tournament should attract roughly 200 participants and spectators. Types of volunteer work for the event include: food tents, registration, score keeper, activity tent, photography, etc. Our group's specific role and the time of our shift will be determined closer to the date of the event.

Please join Tim Sutherland, Notre Dame Trustee, and Don Bishop, senior University administrator responsible for Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, etc., for congratulations, conversation, and refreshments with the newly Admitted Students to Notre Dame and their families. Your insights, knowledge and passion are key to the success of this event! The event will take place Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10 AM - 12 PM at Columbia Club Main Dining Room in Chevy Chase. Volunteer at the DC Central Kitchen (Sun., Apr. 23)
The DC Central Kitchen provides meals for homeless shelters, and nonprofit organizations across the National Capital Region, as well as culinary job training for unemployed people in DC. We will be helping DC Central Kitchen with food prep -- usually, a lot of chopping! The activity is from 9 AM - 12 PM on Sunday, April 23 in NW DC (425 Second St NW, near the Judiciary Square Metro). ND CLUB OF WASHINGTON DC SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEWS
Help the Notre Dame Club of Washington DC select the 2017/2018 scholarship recipients by acting as a "receptionist" for the candidates during the interview session on April 25. You'll help to shepherd candidates into the building as they arrive -- limiting disruptions for committee members conducting the interviews and allowing things to run smoother logistically. The receptionist would need to be at the interview location in Georgetown from 7 to around 9:45 PM. If you're interested, please email ND-DC-YA@googlegroups.com and more information will be provided.
