Dear Young Alums,
Let's ignore the raging dumpster fire that is 2016 ND football season and turn our attention to that other (but way more important) 2016 dumpster fire -- the 2016 Presidential Race. ND Club of Washington is offering an exclusive election event on November 2 for members only. Read on for more details!
P.S. ND football is still playing this weekend, and we're still watching at The Exchange. Let's all go down together screaming Go Irish into the void!

ELECTION 2016: BREAKING DOWN THE RACE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE (Wed., 11/2)
An Exclusive, Nonpartisan Event with Renowned Political Journalists and ND Alumni*
On the eve of the election -- Why Donald Trump will win?...Why Hillary Clinton will win?... How will President Trump or President Clinton differ from Candidate Trump and Candidate Clinton?... Who or what will it take to mend our obviously broken politics?
Join us on Wednesday, November 2 at the National Press Club for an inside look at questions like this, as the Notre Dame Club of Washington, D.C. hosts an exclusive evening with renowned political journalists and ND alumni, including:
Mark Shields '59: One of the most respected analysts in Washington and a syndicated columnist for more than 25 years; deemed "A Walking Almanac of American Politics" by The Washington Post. Since 1988, Shields has provided weekly political analysis and commentary for the PBS NewsHour (current on-screen counterpart is David Brooks of The New York Times). For 17 years, he served as moderator of CNN's weekly political discussion show, Capital Gang.
Melinda Henneberger '80: Currently a USA Today columnist and visiting fellow at Catholic University's Institute for Policy Research & Catholic Studies, Henneberger was formerly a senior writer for Bloomberg Politics and editor-in-chief of AOL's Politics Daily. She spent 10 years at The New York Times as a Washington correspondent and Rome bureau chief. Her work has appeared in GQ, Time, Newsweek and Reader's Digest.
The panelists will share insights, analysis and commentary on the nominees and the issues surrounding the most contentious campaign in recent history.
