This is an awesome and unique hands-on project you won't want to miss. If you have paperback books you'd like to donate, feel free to bring them. Please plan to arrive no later than 6:30pm for the orientation  Be sure to check out our other upcoming events below and as always, if you have ideas for events you'd like to see, don't hesitate to contact one of the leadership team members. See you tonight!  Upcoming Events​ Books to Prisoners  Where: Foundry United Methodist Church, Basement, 1500 16th St NW When: TONIGHT! Monday, February 22 (6:30-8:30 PM) Metro: Dupont Circle Help fulfill prisoners' requests with the Books-to-Prisoners Project at the Foundry United Methodist Church. We'll round up donated books to send to prisoners based on their interests articulated through letters. Please arrive by 6:30pm for the required orientation. The B2P project supports prison libraries in all 50 states and sends out more than 4,000 packages annually. Where: Seabury at Home First, 2501 18th Street NE  When: Saturday, March 12, 9:00AM-12:00PM Metro: Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood   We are very excited to be working with Seabury Resources for Aging once again! A favorite project of many of our members, Age-In-Place provides basic home maintenance such as house cleaning and yard maintenance to older adults living in DC's Wards 4 and 5. The program allows the elderly to continue living independently in their homes with a little outside assistance from volunteers like DCYP.  Please RSVP on meetup or email the Service Team at dcyp.service@gmail.com. Note in your response if you will be riding the metro so we can coordinate rides from the Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood metro station. As always, we'll plan a brunch for afterwards!  Happy Hour before Underground Comedy @ The Big Hunt! (NEW!) Where: The Big Hunt, 1345 Connecticut Ave NW  When: Wednesday, March 16, 6:30-8:00 PM Metro: Dupont Circle Join for burgers, beers, and big laughs at The Big Hunt on March 16th! Burgers are half-price, beers at Happy Hour prices until 7pm, and Comedy show starts at 8pm.
