[NSCoderNightDC] KidMix (Gaithersburg, MD) looking for iOS developer, contractor or employee

Hello everyone,

KidMix is a local startup building a "facebook for kids" app. That's the short pitch. It's a bit more specific than that, providing some interesting features like playdate scheduling, educational videos, and a separate app for parents that allows them to keep track of what their kids are up to on the platform. You can see their web site here:

https://kidmixapp.com

It's a pretty small company at the moment founded by a husband and wife team. They're building a web site, an Android app, and an iOS app, with I think around five developers overall. They currently have two iOS developers but are looking for some additional help to speed things along on that end. The founders are not highly technical but seem to have a decent grasp on the high level of things and let the developers lead on the technical aspects.

They got in touch with me to see if I could pitch in, and while I may help out here and there with some tricky bits, I don't have a lot of time, so I told them I'd poke the mailing list and see if anyone was looking for something and might be interested. I believe they're looking for an employee but would consider a contractor as well, full time preferred but part time possible.

If you're interested, contact Lisa Goldberg (she's one of the founders) at Lisa@kidmixapp.com. If you have any questions about it, feel free to contact her, or if there's anything I might be able to answer from my very limited knowledge of the company, feel free to ask me as well.

Mike
