ND TECH NETWORKING: TRENDS IN DATA ANALYTICS (Wed., Apr. 19)
Join us on Wednesday, April 19 at 6 PM to discuss the future of analytics. We will have a panel featuring Joe Sifer of BAH, Mike Rhodes of CACI, Dean Peter Kilpatrick from the College of Engineering and one other panelist from ND discuss current trends in, and new uses for, data analytics.
We will have networking, a panel discussion and then more networking. We hope to make these quarterly events, so please come out and meet your fellow alums in the technology sector. This first event will be hosted at the offices of Morgan Franklin, 7900 Tysons One Place, Suite 300, Tysons Corner, VA.
Space is limited to 100. To register, email Andy Tucker '84 at andrewmtucher@gmail.com.
ADMITTED STUDENTS RECEPTION (Sat., Apr. 22)
Please join Tim Sutherland, Notre Dame Trustee, and Don Bishop, senior University administrator responsible for Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, etc., for congratulations, conversation, and refreshments with the newly Admitted Students to Notre Dame and their families. Your insights, knowledge and passion are key to the success of this event! The event will take place Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10 AM - 12 PM at Columbia Club Main Dining Room in Chevy Chase. Please RSVP to Tara Schimpf '10 by Thursday, April 20.
Volunteer at the DC Central Kitchen (Sun., Apr. 23)
The DC Central Kitchen provides meals for homeless shelters, and nonprofit organizations across the National Capital Region, as well as culinary job training for unemployed people in DC. We will be helping DC Central Kitchen with food prep -- usually, a lot of chopping! The activity is from 9 AM - 12 PM on Sunday, April 23 in NW DC (425 Second St NW, near the Judiciary Square Metro). Volunteers aged 12 and up are welcome! Please contact MaryKate Robinson at marykate@alumni.nd.edu if you are interested!

ND-WASHINGTON IRISH NETWORK GOLF OUTING PLANNING COMMITTEE
ND-Washington Irish Network (ND-WIN) is looking for one to two people to join their golf outing planning committee. This is a huge event, tentatively scheduled for September 29 with planning meetings TBD, but most likely starting up next month. ND-WIN would love more young alums to participate in the event so they want your help to plan! Please email ND-DC-YA@googlegroups.com if you're interested in making this event a hole-in-one!
SSLP COORDINATOR POSITION AVAILABLE ON DC ALUMNI CLUB BOARD
One to two people are needed ASAP to fill the Summer Service Learning Project position on the DC Alumni Club Board. This person would be responsible for coordinating the host family and other logistics for the student(s) coming to the DC-area THIS summer. This is a great opportunity to get more involved with the DC Alumni Club, especially if you did an SSLP while at Notre Dame! Email ND-DC-YA@googlegroups.com if you're interested and want more info!
ND CO-ED SOFTBALL RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS
Batter up! The 2017 campaign for the ND co-ed softball team is underway, and they are looking for more interested Domers to join in the fun! They play in the Capital Alumni Network (CAN) league (www.dcalum.org), comprised of about 70 local alumni chapter teams from schools around the nation. All regular season games are played in DC, and the competitive spirit continues after the games with a post-game celebration win or lose. Whether you want to show off your skills or you simply just like to have a good time, there's a spot on the roster waiting for you!
Please contact Mike Bien '03 (michael.bien@gmail.com) or Megan Sweitzer '09 (msweitze@gmail.com) for more information. Go Irish!
