***(NEW) 2/6 Looking for Roommate for NW DC apartment – 1 bdrm available in Feb.
About the Apartment: The apartment is a spacious 3bd/2bath apartment that is a 7min walk from the Van Ness metro station (red line). The bedroom can fit a queen or king-sized bed, set of drawers, desk, bookshelf, etc. and the room has big windows – views of a wooded park and lots of natural light. The room is $1125 per month, which includes rent, utilities, WiFi and composting. There's 24/7 security/front desk assistance, a small exercise room, laundry in building, rooftop and it's super close to Rock Creek Park trails, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. Photos available if interested!
Move in Details: The room is available in February (exact move-in date flexible starting Feb. 16) for a month-to-month lease (preference given to individuals who are interested in staying for a year or at least 6 months).
Living Together: We are interested in getting to know each other as roommates and creating a sense of community in the apartment. We like to have our home be a place where we can relax, but also a place to host a couple of friends for the occasional dinner or game night. We are very neat and like to have common spaces (especially the living room and kitchen) clean. We respect roommates' sleeping schedules by keeping the apartment quiet late at night and early in the morning. We are fine with the occasional overnight guest, and appreciate the heads up if friends from out of town are visiting. We are both laidback, considerate and have lived with a variety of different people over the years. No pets please.
About Me: I am 31 years old, I have lived in DC for 7.5 years, and I work at a Catholic nonprofit in Brookland. I love traveling (Latin America hold a special spot in my heart), being active (playing sports, running, hiking, biking, doing anything outdoors), and exploring the city. I enjoy going to different cultural events, street festivals, paint nights, and happy hours with friends, but I will often choose to have a more relaxing night in.
About the second roommate: Phoebe is 26 years old and works a federal job. She's clean, welcoming and easy-going and is a returned Peace Corps volunteer. She's still pretty new to the city (almost reaching her year mark!) and is down to explore places and hangout with roommates as time allows
