Senior Program Manager, Psychiatric Workforce Diversity
The American Psychiatric Association (APA), the main professional organization of psychiatrists and trainee psychiatrists in the United States, and the largest psychiatric organization in the world, is seeking exceptional and motivated candidates to serve as a Senior Program Manager within the Division of Diversity and Health Equity. The Senior Program Manager will assist the Division Chief in building and fostering diversity, equity, inclusion efforts locally, nationally and internationally through existing and enhanced APA networks. The incumbent will support highly visible events and activities to promote cultural respect, which has a positive effect on patient care delivery by enabling mental healthcare providers to deliver services that are respectful of and responsive to the health beliefs, practices and cultural and linguistic needs of diverse patients. Responsibilities of this position are in alignment with the APAs fourth strategic initiative of supporting and increasing diversity within APA; serving the needs of evolving, diverse, underrepresented and underserved patient populations; and working to end disparities in mental health care. Senior Program Manager, Governance
The American Psychiatric Association (APA), the main professional organization of psychiatrists and trainee psychiatrists in the United States, and the largest psychiatric organization in the world, is seeking an exceptional and motivated candidate to serve as the Senior Program Manager, Governance within the Division of Diversity and Health Equity (DDHE). The incumbent will assist the Division Chief by being the primary staff liaison to DDHE liaised assembly, councils, caucuses, committees, workgroups, etc. (e.g., Assembly Committee M/UR, Council on Minority Mental Health and Health Disparities, Council on Children, Adolescents, and Their Families, and Minority and Underrepresented (M/UR) Caucuses) to support a governance framework that ensures a timely and responsive feedback loop.
