[NSCoderNightDC] iOSDevCampDC 2018 coming up

Not only is iOSDevCampDC coming up soon, (less than two weeks!) this year will mark its tenth anniversary! There is still time to register. Best of all, as a member of the NSCoder Night DC community, you get a discount. Just enter the coupon code "pastry" for $10 off the price of admission. I hope to see a bunch of you then, but – why wait that long? Today is tuesday, so of course we'll be meeting at La Madeleine near the Bethesda Metro station, just like we always do for over ten years now. As always we start at 7:00pm and stay until they kick us out.

Hope to see you soon,
Jose

LOOKING FOR TEMPORARY HOUSING

***  6/3 Hello! I was hoping to reach out to someone in the Washington D.C. Notre Dame club to receive some help with a recent situation I got myself into. I'm a rising senior at Notre Dame and will be doing an internship in Arlington this summer. I found an apartment to live in at Logan Circle and signed a lease for it and had to put down a security deposit, only for it to turn out to be a scam. The owner hasn't sent me the keys and will not return the deposit. I am going to attempt to take them to a small claims court but in the meantime, I do not have a place planned to move into for June 10th (the beginning of my internship - it ends on August 18th). It's been difficult trying to find a new place because I do not have any more money to put down a security deposit so I was wondering if anyone in the club knows of someone that has an extra room they are not using or a room that they are renting out that I could possibly stay at. I would appreciate any sort of help and thank you for taking the time to read this. All the best, Gaby Kluzinski (gkluzinski@gmail.com)

*** 5/22 I am a rising Junior at Notre Dame working in the Gaithersburg, Rockville and German Town area from June 3rd to August 10th and looking for temporary housing. I'm hoping to connect with anyone in the area looking for/offering a place to stay in that time period.Thank you so much, Bailey McEachen (bmceache@nd.edu)***

***  4/22 Hi! My name is Maggie Miltko. I am a sophomore here at Notre Dame and I will be working as a senate intern this summer from May 28 to July 27. I am looking for an apartment/room to stay in for these dates that is easy to get to from the Capitol. You can contact me at mmoriar2@nd.edu. Thank you so much!***

***4/22 My name is Cynthia -- I'm a junior at Notre Dame interning in DC this summer. I'll be with Protiviti in McLean. My internship program only has be in DC from June23 to August 11 so I was wondering if I could try to avoid paying full-month rents for June and August. If there is anyone close to the McLean area that could house me for even a week or two, I'd greatly appreciate it! Currently, during my scramble to find housing for the summer, I've already booked an Airbnb for the dates of July 15 to July 31 -- I've thrown a couple of lines into the water among people that I know to try to find accommodations for the rest of the weeks. I'd love any opportunity I can get. Thank you! Cynthia.Tran.73@nd.edu ***

*** 4/16 My name is Caroline and I graduated ND in 2015. I'm current at graduate school at the University of Oxford and will be spending my summer in DC. I'm looking for a sublease from July onward. You can contact me at: carolineechang3@gmail.com***

*** 3/15 Hello, everyone! I'm a 2017 graduate and am currently studying public policy at UChicago. I will be working in DC this summer and I'm hoping to find housing as either a single room/apartment or a two-person apartment (for myself and a UChicago classmate also working in D.C.) We're comfortable living in the city, in northern Virginia, or in Maryland as long as it's near public transportation. The dates and price are flexible but would ideally be from June to September and around $2,500 (for two person) or $1,250 (for just me). Let me know if you know of anything that might work, thanks! Mollye Shacklette (meshacklette@uchicago.edu)***

*** 3/7  Rising Senior at Notre Dame is seeking to sublet a one, two, or three bedroom apartment or house in the D.C. or Northern Virginia area from May 20th through August 18th.  Anyone interested can contact her at chidy@nd.edu***

*** 11/27 Hello everyone! My name is Juliette Garcia-Flahaut, a junior, electrical engineering major currently at Notre Dame. I am looking for a place to stay for the duration of my internship this summer (about 10-12 weeks, starting May 29th 2018). I will be interning at a company in Centerville, VA and am looking to rent out either a room or an apartment. Please email me at jgarci20@nd.edu if you can help me out. Thank you!***
