*** (NEW) 6/29 (Friend of ND grad) A room is available July 1 in our fabulous renovated three bedroom apartment. (Our third roommate is going to grad school which is a huge bummer, but we're excited to find a new person to share our house.) The living room/dining room features hardwood floors and natural light, while the kitchen has new appliances and spacious hardwood cabinets. Both the kitchen and the shared bathroom have beautiful granite countertops, ceramic tile, and updated appliances. The apartment has a built-in washer and dryer. Central AC and heat. The house is tucked away in an unbeatable neighborhood -- both quiet and convenient. Two blocks in one direction brings you to the National Zoo and Rock Creek Park, while two blocks in the other direction brings you to the lively restaurants of Adams Morgan. A short walk lands you in the heart of Columbia Heights -- with the convenience of Target and the Green/Yellow line metro -- or, in the other direction, at Woodley Park's bustling commercial district with the Red line metro stop. The room for rent is spacious and full of light, with three windows! It is non-furnished. It has carpeted floor, a large closet, and a ceiling fan. Rent is only $1180 per month. Rent includes all utilities except internet (which is approximately $24/month). It's possible to also rent an off-street parking spot next to the house for an additional $210/month (with one month's notice). We are hoping to have a roommate that will commit to a year lease. You would share this amazing apartment with two young professional women in their early 30s, who both do public service work and enjoy vegetarian cooking, dance class, and hosting occasional dinner parties. Seeking a roommate who is respectful, clean, responsible, and cares about building a warm and inclusive home. No pets, smoking, or drugs. If you're interested, please contact us as soon as possible (abigail.bellows@gmail.com) and include background on yourself (where you work, where you're from, hobbies, etc.), what you're looking for in a living arrangement, and your contact info so we can set up a time to meet. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/roo/5649466040.html***
